Backend Engineer (Node.js, TypeScript)

What you’ll be doing:

• Joining the early technical team, improving and maintaining the product
• Scaling up our Node.js backend and infrastructure as our business grows
• Working with the founding team in Portland

You’ll have:

• Production Node.js experience or a motivation to learn quickly
• Proficiency with popular AWS services: EC2, Cloudfront, DynamoDB, SQS, Lambda
• A deep understanding of JavaScript fundamentals
• A formal background in computer science or experience shipping software

Bonus points for:

• Experience working with DynamoDB or another NoSQL database
• Experience building an API to support several clients
• Experience with GraphQL
• Experience with TypeScript or other type systems
• Experience building SaaS integrations with services like Slack, JIRA, Asana, etc.
• Experience with Docker or other container systems
