Senior Front End Developer

BeFunky, the popular photo editing and graphic design platform with 40M+ users and top ranked applications, is on the hunt for a Senior Front End Developer at its beautiful location in Portland, OR. We are looking for a design and user-experience minded developer who will be focusing on the creation and maintenance of our web platform. We're a small, close-knit team looking for the perfect person to help us create the most beautiful applications the world has ever seen!

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Your primary focus will be on the UI/UX development of BeFunky's web application so you must be an expert at developing responsive web applications as well as web-based animations. You will work very closely with our design team to improve and create BeFunky features.
• You have experience in designing and building complex web applications with an emphasis on performance, scalability, and high-reliability. You have experience in solving JS and DOM performance issues.

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

• 5+ years of front end development experience with a high level of proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, as well as CSS preprocessors such as LESS or SASS and CSS libraries.
• Solid JavaScript skills without framework assistance. Frameworks come in handy but you should deeply understand vanilla JavaScript.

BONUS POINTS

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science / Engineering.
• Experience in HTML Canvas and WebGL
• An online portfolio/github page that demonstrates skill, versatility and confidence with coding in JavaScript.
• A good understanding of mathematics, and the ability to apply this knowledge to animation and design mechanics.
• A comprehensive understanding of design-concepts.
