SENIOR INTERFACE ENGINEER

Gather Fitness is a new start-up working to disrupt the fitness industry. We make it easy for anyone to lead and participate in local group fitness classes that are affordable and community driven. Classes leverage public spaces like parks and beaches, and celebrate local leaders who rally their communities to move. We want to create a platform that elevates and celebrates fitness activities that inspire participation and promote inclusion. We are looking for a senior interface engineer to join our team and drive the development of our primary web app. This includes working with our product manager to scope and estimate development efforts, implementing best practices for modern applications and interpreting design direction from our UX/UI team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will help shape our processes to take an early Beta experience to a world-class product.

If this job is for you it means you’re passionate about your craft and have experience shipping production web apps that are performant and have a nice level of polish. You think design patterns are cool and leverage tests to help a team maintain productivity as a project grows. Not only are you interested in React, but you have taken the initiative to study up on it (even it you haven’t used it in production yet).
