We’re The Wild, a fast-growing team of curious individuals who are passionate about XR and the great potential that immersive technology holds. Our team is building a collaboration platform for architecture and design teams to experience their work together, from anywhere, in virtual and augmented reality.

We’re seeking an experienced 3D Application Developer to join our product development team.

Responsibilities

  • Designing and building our Unity-based AR, VR, and desktop experiences.
  • Writing robust, efficient and maintainable code.
  • Designing and documenting system architecture.
  • UX prototyping.
  • Researching and evaluating new platforms, frameworks, and methodologies that will help us reach our goals.
  • Continually improving the quality of code and infrastructure.

Technologies

  • Unity, C#, Git
  • Mac or Windows
  • VR headsets
  • AR devices

Sound like you?

  • You have multiple years of experience developing complex 3D applications. You are expert level and still learning.
  • You are experienced with Unity development or can demonstrate an ability to rapidly become proficient.
  • You're a creative technologist - you use design thinking to solve problems and enjoy collaborating with designers to find great solutions.
  • You're product focused - you take pride in building an elegant and beautiful product.
  • You excel at understanding and solving complex problems. You are attentive to detail and data-driven.
  • You are broad - you've mastered multiple programming languages and explored numerous computing topics. Relevant skills include XR, Shaders, C++, concurrency, iOS, Android, DirectX/Metal/Vulkan, or bring your own.
  • You love learning - you’re aware of your limitations and excited and motivated to expand your knowledge.
  • You are an empathetic listener.
  • You are a great teacher and can describe tricky topics.
  • Location: Portland, Oregon
