Backend Developer

Role
We are looking for a smart, capable, backend developer with a strong interest in solving complex technical problems. You will work on automating back end systems that deal with large data queries and will be involved in converting data from one format to another. If you are looking for an opportunity to create interesting software that will change the healthcare industry, this opportunity is for you.

Responsibilities
• Data modeling, background job processing and database administration.
• Ability to work synchronously and in real time with back-end developers in our Aliso Viejo, CA office a must.
• Development via screen sharing and videoconferencing with teams on East Coast and Europe will be required.

Requirements
Knowledge and/or familiarity with the following:
• Ruby, Sinatra, MySQL, MongoDB, Node, JavaScript, CoffeeScript, ActiveRecord, 12 Point Light
• Ability to work independently but also collaborate as part of a team.
• BS, Computer Science Degree required
• 2-4 years experience in equivalent role
• Healthcare background a plus
