Episerver is looking for a talented and experienced Elasticsearch Architect for our Search platform team. We are looking for top talent to be a critical part of building the next generation commerce search, using Elasticsearch 8. Help us design and implement our solution for thousands of production customers worldwide, in multi-tenant clusters. Do relevancy, scalability, and complexity get you excited? You will lead architecture and design for our fleet of Elasticsearch based products, and join a development team of 10 experienced and skilled software engineers developing the next generation commerce search and maintaining the existing search service.

We are a globally distributed company, with engineering hubs in Stockholm, London, Minneapolis, Nashua, and Hanoi - it's desirable if you are located in one of those cities, but we are also open for remote work from other locations around the world.

As an Elasticsearch Architect, you will:

• Be responsible for the design of next generation commerce and content search.
• Guide best practices and core software design to produce relevant results.
• Work with Software Engineers to develop features in next generations commerce search, using Elasticsearch 8.
• Create rationalization features in the search service together with Data Scientists and Software Engineers.
• Guide and assist Software Engineers to develop plugins to Elasticsearch.
• Assist Software Engineers and Reliability Engineers in trouble shooting issues on our production clusters.

About you:

• You should have at least three years of experience implementing Elasticsearch at scale in production.
• It is beneficial if you also have experience developing plugins to Elasticsearch.
• You are enthusiastic about search.
• Good skills in English, both written and spoken.
