Rigado is growing quickly in the fast-moving markets of wireless connectivity and edge computing. We are looking for an experienced engineering leader to guide our technology and team as we develop innovative solutions for global companies.

You will be responsible for an organization of software and hardware engineering talent. You will act as a partner to leaders within our product, sales/marketing, and solutions teams to foster a collaborative environment. By example, you will reinforce of the connection between the team's work and our company objectives.

You will also focus on building, engaging, and growing your team through activities like recruiting, performance management, mentoring, talent development, team organization, and communication. You will implement reliable and efficient processes to accelerate development, improve quality and deliver innovative solutions and products.

Primary job activities include:

  • Delivering high-quality software and hardware products with new functionality for Rigado, on time and within budget.

  • Working with others across the organization to align and leverage efforts.

  • Building a strong, distributed, team by bringing out the best in our current team members, hiring excellent new hires, and running successful projects.

  • Working closely with product definition team to determine how to successfully execute and deliver on the product roadmap.

  • Working closely with project and team leads to oversee and communicate project schedule.

  • Actively helping to solve our engineering challenges and seek constant improvement. Ensure processes are documented to aid onboarding new staff.

  • Demonstrating a commitment to our mission and customers.

  • Managing NPI/design and specifications with external ODM and contract partners.

  • Building an engineering resource plan based on the product roadmap for 6 - 12 month budget planning.

You’re right for this role if:

  • You have a proven ability to provide a clear strategy on executing product roadmaps that is challenging, but achievable.

  • You have strong staff management and organizational skills.

  • You have strong influence skills at the senior leadership level, understanding ripple effect and communicating that upstream and downstream.

  • You have a strong work ethic.

  • You are self-directed and resourceful; and a self-starter who acts with initiative.

  • You have 10+ years of engineering management experience.

  • You have 5+ years in a product development leadership role related to [software and hardware as a service]

  • You have 2+ years experience leading teams across multiple offices.
