Snap Engineer

Rigado is looking for a Snap Engineer to work with our software engineering team to develop and scale our snap application architecture. "Snaps" are the application containers used by our secure edge operating system, powered by Canonical's Ubuntu Core OS. Reporting to the Director of Engineering, the Snap Engineer with take the lead on our snap implementation and platform.

Primary job activities include:

• Working with customers to build their applications into Ubuntu Core snaps.

• Help customers debug issues with snap deployments.

• Work with product to help define future features that make deploying and monitoring snaps easier.

You’re right for this role if:

• You have strong experience with Linux and/or Embedded Linux.

• You have demonstrated experience building snaps for the Ubuntu Core platform.

• You have experience with multiple languages such as Node.js, C and Java.

• You can communicate effectively in writing.

• You have a strong work ethic.

• You are self-directed and resourceful; and a self-starter who acts with initiative.

Appreciated, but not required:

• Experience with Go

• Experience with BLE
