Marketing Operations Assistant
Hi! My name is Marshall Kirkpatrick and I've been around the Portland startup scene for many years. I've got some new projects underway and I need help!
I'm a technologist and writer working at the intersection of emerging technology and social impact. My customers work in fields that are so big, and so fast moving that it's hard to keep up with them and for their work to stand out, without a system. I've built systems for monitoring, analyzing, and acting on insights and opportunities.
What I'm looking for is operational support to run the systems I've created, so that I stay diligent in doing the things I know I need to do to take my business to the next level. I'm looking for someone with significant relevant experience supporting other professionals in their fields.
This starts as a paid 3-month pilot ($40/hr, 20 hrs a week) with clear checkpoints along the way, so you'll always know where you stand and how it's going. Everything I do is rooted in a commitment to social impact. This role is to help me take the commercial viability of that work to the next level.
Your success in this role will be measured by a series of steps that build on one another:
- My consistency in regular public communication (I'll do it, you hold me to it, and support it)
- Hitting our goals for people registering for the community calls we hold on Zoom 2-3 times each month
- Hitting our goals for the number of follow-up calls that come out of those community calls
- Hitting our goals for the number of proposals we send for subscription or consulting engagements each month
- Tracking the activity and outcomes at each of these steps on a consistent weekly basis
People really like working for me. I have warm relationships with employees and collaborators that have lasted decades. I live locally and work globally. If this sounds like a good role for you, I look forward to meeting you.
