DevOps Engineer

Portland, OR is preferred but remote from anywhere in the United States is possible.

We are political: we believe strongly that unions and other progressive institutions are critical in a country that is fair and free. While we are a fairly young company, our product is in the field and being used by several clients already. We’re starting to grow our team.

Role Summary

The engineer will work closely with the Staff Engineer to scale existing infrastructure and our continuous integration and deployment system to meet our growing needs. They will help monitoring and analytics solutions to help identify where improvements should be made and help apply the appropriate measures needed to resolve them. The right fit would primarily develop and maintain infrastructure systems, but be able to assist with other development related tasks when help is needed.

Requirements:

- Experience running software on Amazon Web Services

- Experience with Git or another distributed version control system

- Experience running or using a continuous integration and deployment system

- Experience monitoring and responding to infrastructure and operational issues

- Commitment to progressive organizing and agile software practices

Additional Qualifications (very useful, not all required):

- Experience with Docker

- Experience with Ansible

- Experience with Python

- Experience with PostgreSQL

- Experience with Redis

- Degree in computer science/software engineering

Additional Details:

Compensation is based on experience. This is a contract position with potential to hire at the end of contract.
