DESCRIPTION:
DevOps engineers work with IT, Ops, and Engineering to deploy and operate software systems. A collaborative and iterative approach is essential to be successful in this role. Tasks may vary daily, from high level system design, to writing scripted automation, to troubleshooting environmental issues.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Quickly learn new technologies, software, processes and concepts
- Create and maintain scripts
- Automate deployment tasks
- Collaborate with the Engineering Department to setup development & test environments
- Troubleshoot and support internal and production environments
- Prioritize requests from multiple teams
- Design and implement testing of infrastructure
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management or similar discipline required and/ or equivalent years of technical experience
- 3-5 years working in Systems Administration and/or DevOps role
- 3 years scripting (PowerShell, Shell, Python, etc.)
- Prior experience in deploying/supporting AWS products (EC2, EBS, RDS, Docker, etc)
- Experience with Windows and Linux-based operating system configuration, automation and management
- Experience with systems architecture and systems administration
- Familiarity with networking equipment (load balancing/firewalls)
- Understand how TLS and Digital Certificates function
- AWS Cloud experience
- Knowledge of best practices and IT operations
- Effective communication and cross department collaboration
