Nike Innovation is seeking a Technical Director to act as CTO for a rapidly growing new business poised to transform the sneaker ownership experience. We are a team of 3, and are looking for a technical partner to help build the foundation of our product and be a strategic thought partner in determining its future. You will be able to experiment with emerging technologies to help solve some of the toughest consumer problems in retail.
Responsibilities
As the technical lead and member of the foundational leadership team, you will be owning the design and implementation of all technical projects related to our products. You will also:
-Work closely with the Entrepreneur and Head of Product to set product strategy and lead implementation, while considering feedback from internal and external stakeholders
-Collaborate with peers on brainstorming new product ideas, and can then own technical design, implementation, release, and support
-Build new features that are user friendly and well tested
-Evaluate new technologies and processes that enhance security capabilities
-Monitor and proactively manage supported products and services to assure their performance, availability, security, and capacity.
Requirements
-Excited by brainstorming new product ideas with peers and enjoys leading a software development team
-5-8 years of solid Software Development experience with multiple leadership demonstrating experiences
-Experienced with agile development methodologies namely SCRUM and Kan Ban
-Full stack development capabilities with emphasis in Front End Web technologies such as Javascript, React, Redux and Node.js or Java services
-Competency in Cross Platform Native App Development like React Native for iOS and Android platforms
-Familiar with Cloud Services development experience. Preferably on AWS with ability to model, specify and consumer REST APIs
-Ability to understand technology deeply, dive in, and debug at any level in a software stack
-Familiarity with DevOps model of development and QA within a single team
-Self-motivated and can lead projects independently while keeping non-technical teammates up-to-speed in an effective manner
-Curious about experimenting with emerging technologies (VR/AR, IoT, blockchain, etc.)
-Experienced in working with both internal and external non-technical partners
-Ability to balance a sense of urgency with shipping high quality and pragmatic solutions
-Willing and able to travel based on job requirements
-Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or other Engineering disciplines or strong software programming skills.

-Experience building scalable machine learning systems and data-driven products working with cross functional teams
-Fluency in data manipulation (SQL, Spark, Pandas) and machine learning (scikit-learn/keras/tensorflow/pytorch) tools
